Glutamine (symbol Gln or Q) is an α-amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. Its side chain is similar to that of glutamic acid, except the carboxylic acid group is replaced by an amide. It is classified as a charge-neutral, polar amino acid. Creatine is a nitrogenous organic acid that occurs naturally in vertebrates. Its main role is to facilitate recycling of adenosine triphosphate, the energy currency of the cell, primarily in muscle and brain tissue.
Crockpots are truly wonderful devices. When properly deployed they can give the illusion of amazing time compression. With enough water a crockpot can turn lima beans, onions, garlic, salt, and pepper into a very tasty meal base for a week.
My approach is to drink plenty of water before bed time, start the crockpot and during the night whenever nature calls the wondrous aroma prompts me to check the water level of the crockpot.
A fluid paradox that leads to a week's worth of creamy lima beans in what feels like no time.
