It might sound like an opinion of an ignorant guy but most of us think about Da Vinci’s paintings as masterpieces just because this is what we were told in our schools. We have no level of expert knowledge to find it by ourselves. How can I be so sure? What about you? So we all acknowlege this general point of view: Masterpiece. What does that even mean? What are the criteria, and why no others?
